QBO Tech Tip - Reconciling Current Date Ranges When The Past Reconciliations Haven't Been Completed
- All of my template workflows include details like this, and my Standard Operating Process Guides are start to finish standards for apps and internal processes.
Often, remediation clients have current information but need more time to find older paperwork.
Prepping current reconciliations allows you to soft reconcile them, so you can continue working in the file while you wait for older details rather than putting the entire remediation project on hold.

Open The Reconciliation Filters
Step 2
Customize The Date Range
Step 3
Soft Reconcile Current
Date Range
Return to the filters and customize other date ranges to vet for the information you need from the client, or toggle back to the original statement date to resume vetting the original reconciliation.
Your reconciliations for the more current periods have now been vetted and are ready to hit the magic “finish now” button once you have the prior period information.
